Linking Industry and Energy means "accelerating the green industrial revolution" for Roland Lescure

Roland Lescure, who is adding Energy to his Industry portfolio at Bercy in the Attal government whose final line-up was announced on Thursday evening, says his ambition is to "accelerate the green industrial revolution" in France.
"We're going to be the ministry of action, of the concrete transformation of our industrial apparatus in the service of climate transition," Lescure told AFP after the handover ceremony with Agnès Pannier-Runacher, who steered Energy as Minister of Ecological Transition until a month ago, was cancelled.
"When you talk to major industrialists who want to decarbonize their production processes, what do they need? they all answer that they need decarbonized electricity, in abundance, cheap, and talent," he argues.
"Today, the major challenge of the energy transition is an industrial one: we need to build EPRs, wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, produce green steel, green aluminum, green cars, and we need to do it here at home, so that we can not only produce energy +made in France+, but also jobs and prosperity", he said, also mentioning a priority for medicines made in France.
