A coalition of 9 cosmetics brands and two retailers investigating the possibility of cosmetics deposits have joined forces in a coalition to explore the opportunities and challenges of setting up a deposit system for cosmetic products.
Initiated by Circul'R, a circular economy consultancy and training company, with the support of sustainable development consultancy We Don't Need Roads (WDNR) and the backing of Citeo's reuse fund, the Cosmetics and Reuse Coalition aims to launch a pilot point-of-sale deposit scheme for skincare products by the end of 2024.
