The cosmetics sector takes action to reduce water consumption

Description

In line with the Water Plan presented by the government in May 2023, many companies in the cosmetics sector are innovating to reduce their dependence on drinking water throughout the product life cycle. Water is a key resource for the cosmetics industry: it is used as an ingredient (the 1st component in many cosmetics products), as an agent in the manufacturing process, and right through to use in the home, particularly for products that are rinsed off in the shower. But it's also a fragile resource, as the news regularly reminds us, with some water tables reaching record lows this year and periods of drought accompanied by increasingly frequent water restrictions.
