Octocrylene in the sights of ANSES

The French National Health and Safety Agency (ANSES) has recommended that the government ban the use of octocrylene in sunscreen products because of its environmental impact. The request, which has yet to be forwarded to Brussels, has been leaked to the press, forcing the industry to react publicly.
The French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES) is in favour of banning octocrylene in sunscreen products. The information revealed last Friday by France Info has been confirmed by the Agency.
