Cosmetics packaging: Beiersdorf invests in a new technology for recycling plastic waste streams
Description
Beiersdorf has invested in the development of innovative recycling solutions for packaging in the cosmetics industry. With seed funding of 12.3 million Swiss francs (around €12.6 million), the Group and other companies are supporting Swiss start-up DePoly. The young company is developing selective, energy-efficient chemical recycling technologies for plastics and polyester waste streams that are currently not recyclable.
