Biography
For 20 years at Eastman, Cédric Perben has been passionate about innovation in sustainable, eco-designed, recycled and recyclable materials, offering 3R solutions in a variety of sectors including food (Danone/Nestlé), cosmetics (Chanel/Dior), pharmaceuticals and medical (Baxter, Gambro, Sanofi, Sartorius), as well as small appliances (Sodastream, SEB, Magimix).
From 2004 to 2010, he developed Tritan™, a BPA-free copolyester for hot-fill and reuse, used notably for Decathlon sports bottles and McDonald's tableware. Since 2018, he has led Eastman's transformation in Europe for the circularity of PET, copolyesters, and polyester textiles. He is the project manager for a molecular recycling plant, an investment of 1 billion for the first phase, which will process 110,000 tons of polyester with no current recycling solution.
