Biography
An agricultural engineer, Bastien Dallaporta studied agro-ecology and resource management. For several years, he worked with groups of farmers as they made the transition to more economical and autonomous systems. As part of a research centre, he contributed to the development of a farm-scale carbon method in overseas France. He is currently in charge of the ITAB's Sustainability and Transition Unit, working in particular on the environmental assessment of organic farming. His favourite subjects are biodiversity and climate. He contributes to the evaluation of organic farming in relation to these issues by monitoring and developing evaluation methods. Lastly, his missions have led him to work on various projects relating to the evaluation of the sustainability of livestock farming systems.
